Huge Alexis Sanchez Quotes Reveals What He Is Actually Thinking Over Arsenal Future, Talks Wenger Protests

Alexis Sanchez could well be staying in north London after all as his contract continues to run down – with his latest quotes suggesting his future is not yet decided and there is hope for Arsenal to retain their star forward.

Several news outlets are reporting the quotes which have been ‘leaked’ ahead of a BeIN Sport interview set to be released within the next 24 hours.

Within these words, there are some interesting quotes, with Alexis seemingly open to remaining at Arsenal next season should they prove their ambition to challenge for top honours. It seems a situation very reminiscent of Robin van Persie’s back in the summer of 2012. But we all know how that turned out.

However Alexis has spoke his bosses praises during a difficult time for Arsene Wenger, with heat continuing to intensify as Arsenal look likely to miss out on Champions League football for the first time in over 20-years at the helm.

“Like I’ve always said, he [Wenger] is a manager that helps the players grow, mature, players like Fabregas, Henry,” he told former Barcelona player and sports presenter Ibrahim Khadra (via Daily Star).

“My future? I am flattered by the interest shown from different clubs but I am happy at Arsenal. [Gossips] don’t get to my head,” he reportedly said. “Arsène is more than a manager here. He was, still is and will always be the right man for the job.”

Other quotes have also emerged suggesting his future lay in the hands of the club, most likely to see whether they can match his wage demands as well as his sporting ambition by signing world class talent in the transfer market this summer.

“I cannot tell you now (about my future),” Sanchez said (via Mirror). “We have to wait until the end of the season. As I always say, it doesn’t depend on me. It depends on the club. What they like, what they don’t like.

“I always said the same: I try to do my best, to support the team, to score goals, to win victories. And we will see at the end. If they like that I carry on, or they don’t. Whatever they want, we will see it at the end of the tournament.”

Alexis also opened up on why he cuts such a frustrated figure during matches especially during the Gunners awful run throughout February-April.

“Because sometimes when I look at the team we have and the players here… because when it comes to winning the Premier League we often lose or draw against teams at home when we are superior,” he explained. “Sometimes the frustration more than anything is about the fact we could be challenging for the Premier League title.”

A feeling we can all relate to Alexis. And another frustration we can identify with is the clubs recruitment policy that has seen the Gunners miss out on top targets to bigger clubs over the years. It is something which will clearly weigh in on Sanchez’s thinking this summer over a new deal at Emirates Stadium.

“This is normal. I think in every team they always buy more players. Barca, Real Madrid, Bayern, they always buy more players and I think we can have the option to buy more players to be stronger every day.”

“For me, it (fan demonstrations) is very bad. He is the manager who gave a stadium to the club, won cups, and he has been 21 years in the job. He is the creator of the stadium, the players and style of the club.”

Some very illuminating quotes from a player we often hear little from given his current contract situation and lack of confidence speaking English.

Reports of an agreement with Bayern Munich appear to be fake then, which means Arsenal still have a chance to keep him this summer IF they can prove their ambition in the market and ensure the likes of Mesut Ozil remain at the club next season. Perhaps even Arsene Wenger remaining will also convince him to stay given he has transformed Alexis into a world-class player, someone who was dispensable at Barcelona, to one of the top players in the Premier League.
