Bookies are often party to information others aren’t, and Betfred seem to think Paris Saint-Germain’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic is on his way to Arsenal, as reported by Sunday World.
Bookmakers have to keep up to date with the latest transfer news, and as soon as a player looks likely to move clubs the odds are slashed. That’s the case with PSG’s giant Swede, Ibrahimovic dropping from 20/1 to 5/1 to join Arsenal on deadline day.

#DeadlineDay odds just been slashed from 20/1 to 5/1 on Ibrahimovic leaving PSG for Arsenal
— Betfred (@Betfred) September 1, 2015
The former Barcelona star may not have been the player many fans were hoping to see arrive, and two more of the Ligue 1 champion’s players – Edinson Cavani and Adrien Rabiot – have also been linked with moves to the club (via the Daily Mail). Could he be the player we end up signing though?
With Ibrahimovic approaching 34-years-old and arguably past his best, it seems like a strange signing. He will presumably command seriously high wages, and there’s the fee PSG will demand to consider as well.

Such is our need for a new striker however, that Arsenal fans may be pleased to see anyone through the door. The veteran is certainly still a talented forward, and while his character is somewhat questionable, you would expect him to score goals wherever he went – the Emirates included.
