Juventus are planning to tempt Arsenal into selling Alexis Sanchez by offering playmaker Miralem Pjanic as part of the deal, according to Italian newspaper Tuttosport.
The report claims that the Italian champions want Sanchez to form part of an attack including Gonzalo Higuain and Paulo Dybala in Turin.
Massimiliano Allegri’s men spent big last summer splashing out £75 million to land Higuain but are now keen to reinvest further by moving for the Chile international.
The Bianconeri lost Paul Pogba to Manchester United in the summer in a world record deal and are keen to strengthen their squad as they aim for glory in the Champions League.
Sanchez is in the final 18 months of his contract and is yet to agree a new deal and is believed to want at least £280,000-per-week to stay at the Emirates.
The forward has been the subject of a huge offer from China as well as interest from Chelsea but has insisted recently he is happy in London.
Manager Arsene Wenger says he is confident Sanchez wants to stay at the club and that the Gunners will find agreement with the forward, although they are yet to do so.
Sanchez has cut a frustrated figure in recent weeks, having been seeing arguing on the pitch with team-mates before kicking his gloves in the air and sulking on the bench after being substituted against Swansea last weekend.
Wenger attempted to play down Sanchez’s behaviour following the win at the Liberty Stadium but there are growing fears that his behaviour indicates he is frustrated with life at the Gunners.
The 28-year-old’s form remains superb, he is the joint top Premier League goalscorer with 14 goals and seven assists and remains vital to Arsenal’s chances of success.
