Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been marked as an unlikely Arsenal target this summer (via the Metro), but the bookies seem to think he’s already agreed a deal to join Manchester United.
Bookmakers are often privy to information that others aren’t, as they have to stay ahead of the curve in order to avoid massive losses. When they suspend the betting for a particular transfer that’s often a great sign that the move is close, and it seems Ibrahimovic is expected to make the move to Manchester United.

While it always seemed unlikely that Arsene Wenger would bring Ibrahimovic to the Emirates – with the Swede’s ego and presumably massive wage demands a cause for concern – we seemed like the only even slightly realistic option in the Premier League. You would have expected the former PSG striker to want Champions League football – ruling out Manchester United and Chelsea – while it’s well known that he hates future Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola (via The Telegraph).
The 34-year-old doesn’t have long left at the top, and this could arguably be his last season playing top flight football. It’s strange, therefore, that he seems to be willing to forgo Champions League football with Man United, instead settling for Thursday night football in the Europa League.

It may have something to do with the apparently imminent arrival of Jose Mourinho, who looks set to take over from Louis van Gaal this summer (via The Guardian). It will be interesting to see how two of the biggest egos in football work together, and hopefully the answer is that they won’t.
