The transfer window is closed and Arsenal fans are distraught at our lack of signings. We were badly in need of a a couple more players, but Arsene Wenger failed to get the chequebook out.
We could still make a signing though, and although not ideal, there are a number of free agents available and looking for clubs.
Here are three of the top free agents available this season:
3) Yoann Gourcuff
We have been linked with the Frenchman in the past (via the Metro), and Arsene Wenger is known to be a fan.
He was once one of the most promising talents in Ligue 1, and was highly coveted across Europe. He has unquestionably fallen from grace since then, but you wouldn’t put it past Wenger to bring his compatriot to the club.
The 29-year-old isn’t what we need at all, but with the manager’s penchant for deploying midfielders out wide, you never know.
