Arsenal reportedly sent a delegation to Portugal over the weekend to scout the 21-year-old winger, Andrija Zivkovic (via Sport Witness).
Without much football to be played in the coming weeks, many clubs take this opportunity to turn their attention to the transfer market and look at potential reinforcements.
It seems like the Gunners are no exception with reports suggesting that they have sent a delegation to Portugal to scout a potential signing.
The player in question is Andrija Zivkovic, a 21-year-old winger who plays for Benfica.
Zivkovic moved to Portugal from Partizan Belgrade back in 2016 and has impressed in the Primeira Liga in the last few years.
Portuguese publication, O Jogo claims that Arsenal sent a delegation to scout the young winger during Benfica’s 2-0 victory over Feirense on Saturday.
It’s unclear how much truth is in these reports and whether Arsenal are, in fact, keen on signing Andrija Zivkovic. After the losses of Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott, Lucas Perez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the last few months, the Gunners are in need of reinforcement out wide. Whether Zivkovic is the right man for that remains to be seen.
