Alexis Sanchez hasn’t had the best of starts to the season. The Chilean hasn’t been his usual self, for the most part, save a few dashes of genius.
It’s clear that the summer’s transfer speculation is playing on the forward’s mind and even though the window is closed, it doesn’t seem to be going away.
Manchester City failed on deadline day and with one year left on Sanchez’s contract, the rumours will only increase in the coming months.
Reports suggest that Chinese-backed AC Milan are ready to jump to the front of the queue and offer upwards of £75 million to land the player in January.
Arsenal would, of course, prefer to keep the player for many years to come but if he is refusing to discuss signing a new deal then this would be the best possible case. If there is any truth in this rumour then this deal is absolutely something which the Gunners should be going for.
