Arsenal have joined the race for Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe and have made a €100 million bid for the talented striker, according to French newspaper L’Equipe.
The teenager has become one of the hottest properties in Europe after a stunning season with Monaco where he helped the side win the Ligue 1 title and all the way to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Real Madrid and Manchester City have already been heavily linked with the forward but Arsenal have now made their interest in the Frenchman concrete.
The report also claims that while Arsenal want Mbappe, they are still keeping in mind Alexandre Lacazette.
The Gunners received a boost with regards the Lyon man today with the news that Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban will not be lifted. Diego Simeone’s side had been tipped to land the striker this summer but that will not now be the case.
Arsene Wenger, meanwhile, has long been an admirer of Mbappe and even admitted recently he came close to signing the France international last year before he opted to sign a new deal at Monaco.
Could the Frenchman help sway Mbappe towards Arsenal? It’s possible and the fact that the Monaco starlet has admitted recently he will only move to a club where he will play regularly could also help Arsenal.
