Arsenal are monitoring Chelsea youngster Dominic Solanke’s situation at the club with the teenager expected to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, according to football.london.
The 19-year-old has failed to agree a new deal with the Blues and is yet to make a senior appearance under Antonio Conte.
The forward reportedly wants wages of £50,000-per-week to stay with the league leaders and Conte has admitted he could leave this summer.
”I think [he will leave], I am not sure, but I think this is his will,” he said.
“I have spoken with him to try to understand his decision. It is normal. We must have a great respect for every decision.”
Solanke has been at the club since he was a boy and has progressed through the ranks, making a name for himself as a prolific goalscorer.
However, he is struggling to make any impression on the first team and spent last season on loan with Vitesse, scoring seven times.
Conte’s words suggest Solanke’s future does indeed lie away from Chelsea, with Liverpool also believed to be interested in his services.
Arsenal are reportedly big admirers of the teenager, although any move may be dependent on Arsene Wenger remaining at the club, which looks unlikely in the current climate.
Solanke’s wage demands, if true, will surely also prove a problem for a player who has made just one senior appearance in his career, and that came over two years agao in the Champions League against Maribor.
The teenager is expected to cost upto £8m in compensation with the teenager’s fee set to go to a tribunal.
