Arsene Wenger is ready to sell Mathieu Debuchy after falling out with the French defender over his latest comments, according to The Mirror.
Debuchy revealed recently he was keen to leave Arsenal and has claimed he barely speaks to the Arsenal boss after he blocked a move to Manchester United last summer.
Wenger subsequently responded to his words by insisting he does talk with Debuchy and that claims of an offer from the Red Devils were “completely untrue”.
The Gunners boss also admitted the club are listening to offers for Debuchy who has barely featured this season and is currently sidelined through injury.
Arsenal are expected to allow Carl Jenkinson in leave in January with a host of clubs reportedly interested in taking him on loan.
Hull City boss Mike Phelan has admitted the Tigers have had “encouraging” talks with Arsenal about the full-back but admits they face competition for his services.
However, Jenkinson now looks set to be joined by Debuchy in leaving the club with the report claiming Wenger has been angered by his comments and is happy to sell him.
The departure of both players would, however, leave Arsenal short of cover at right-back for first-choice Hector Bellerin.
Gabriel could fill in, as he did when the Spaniard was injured recently, while Wenger has also admitted he could use Francis Coquelin in defence should he be needed.
