Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal youngster Chris Willock who they feel could be tempted to move to Old Trafford and link up with older brother Matty.

The Sun report that Jose Mourinho’s side have been monitoring the highly-rated teenager and could be set to make a move.

Willock is one of the brightest young prospects at Arsenal and has been at the club since the age of five, while younger brother Joe is also on the Gunners’ books.

Although the 18-year-old has yet to make his Premier League debut he has featured off the bench twice this season in the League Cup wins over Reading and Nottingham Forest.

Willock also played a starring role for the Under-21s last season scoring once and setting up two in the final as Arsenal beat Aston Villa 3-1 to gain promotion to Division One.

However, The Sun hint Willock could be tempted to move having seen his older brother fail to make the grade at Arsenal and be released before undergoing trials at Sunderland and Reading where he impressed enough to be scooped up by Manchester United.

Willock signed his first professional contract back in February but looks unlikely to see much playing time this season and has been linked with a loan move in January to gain experience.

Whether Willock would be tempted to move to Manchester United remains to be seen, but the presence of his older brother at Old Trafford may certainly help the Red Devils’ cause.

However, there is no question Willock has strong ties to Arsenal having been at the club since he was five, and having seen Alex Iwobi force his way into the starting XI this season proves Arsene Wenger is willing to give youth a chance.
