Ex-Arsenal star Ray Parlour believes that Jamie Vardy’s proposed move to Arsenal has been scrubbed, with the Leicester star having a change of heart at the last minute, as reported by talkSPORT.

Parlour revealed that he was at the club the day of the Vardy madness, with the player actually present for a medical. But despite the deal looking as good as done, Vardy has now seemingly opted against making a summer switch to Arsenal.
“It looks like it isn’t happening now,” he said.
“I was at the Arsenal the other day and there were big reports flying around, and the club’s cameramen and digital staff had to get down to the training ground.
“So it looked like it was going to happen – there was a medical being done.
“But it seems Vardy thought about it while on England duty, and suddenly there was a U-turn.”
Even coming from a source as presumably reliable as Parlour – who claims to have been present when the deal was being struck – we are yet to get anything concrete about Vardy’s decision. We may well have to wait until after the Euro 2016 Championships in order to get confirmation on whether the deal is still on or whether it’s dead in the water, but until it’s 100% on or 100% off we should make sure we’re focused on other targets too.
Even before the ‘will he, won’t he‘ saga there were many fans who weren’t happy with the Vardy links, with a huge number believing he was ill-suited to the Arsenal style of play. That’s not to say it’s impossible for us to adapt to accommodate him, but knowing Arsene Wenger that seems fairly unlikely.
