Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been linked with a summer switch to Arsenal, and recent reports (via The Sun) suggested he’d sent family members to London in order to begin house hunting for him ahead of the move.
A story from German publication Bild claims that’s all wrong though, and suggests the real reason his family were in London were to look for a house for his sister.
Monika Mkhitaryan is a translator for Uefa, and is apparently set to begin a new job in England. She is consequently looking for a house in London, which puts a real dent in the Mkhitaryan to Arsenal rumours.
The 27-year-old has been in fine form this season, and is understandably being chased by some top clubs. He doesn’t have long left on his contract, so plenty of clubs are looking to exploit that and steal him away.
He’s been scoring and assisting at a phenomenal rate this season and would certainly add something to any team, Arsene Wenger is apparently keen to unite him with Mesut Özil, and that is certainly be an appealing prospect.
We’ve struggled to find goals from midfield recently, with Aaron Ramsey not scoring as many recently and injuries preventing many others from getting any meaningful game time. If there’s one thing Mkhitaryan guarantees it’s goals, so bringing him in from Borussia Dortmund could certainly be a good move.

This latest report suggests the story could be complete rubbish, but the links are likely to continue to emerge, and we’ll have to wait until the summer to see if anything comes from it.
