Player turned pundit Jan Åge Fjørtoft claims we’re willing to pay “big money” in order to land Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, although insists the Bundesliga side have no intention of selling.
We’ve been heavily linked with a move for the Gabon international, with a world class forward high on Arsene Wenger’s list of priorities (via the Mirror).
It’s clearly not going to happen though, so the Frenchman will obviously have to look elsewhere this January.
As reported Arsenal willing to pay “big money” to get Aubameyang. But Dortmund say NO. Building a new team. Not desperate for money

Why there are still stories about Aubameyang to Arsenal doing the rounds is a mystery, as regardless of how much we’re willing to pay, the player himself has confirmed he has no interest in a move to north London,
“I don’t want to go to Arsenal. I won’t leave Dortmund soon,” he said (via the Mirror).
This is all that really matters, and if the player isn’t planning on leaving the Bundesliga any time soon then we should switch our attention to more realistic targets.

As the top scorer in the German top flight, the 26-year-old would obviously be a superb signing. He’s not the only striker out there though, so with seemingly no chance of signing him, there’s no use dwelling on the non-starter transfer.
