Riyad Mahrez was at it yet again on Monday night, with the Algerian scoring his 11th goal of the season against Chelsea in Leicester’s 2-1 win.
He’s been repeatedly linked with a move to Arsenal this season (via The Guardian), as well as some other top European teams. Based on his current form it’s hard to deny he’d be a fantastic signing, but there are obviously question marks over whether he can keep it up.
His goal against the Blues was one of pure class though – as was his assist for Jamie Vardy’s opener – and it’s hard to see that just disappearing.
He plucked the ball out of the air beautifully before squaring up to Cesar Azpilicueta, bamboozling the Chelsea man with his quick feet and then smashing a goal into the far corner.
It’s unclear whether we’d be able to lure the French speaking forward away from Leicester City in January, or how much he’d cost if we were able to do so. He’d certainly add something to the side though, and the fact that he wouldn’t be cup tied in Europe would be a huge boost.

Leicester’s 2-1 win may have put them top of the table ahead of us, but any player that gets the winner over Chelsea is likely to be okay with Arsenal fans (as long as we don’t end up missing out on the title to Leicester by a point).
