Arsenal have reportedly identified a replacement for Danny Welbeck after the Englishman sustained a potentially serious injury (via Sport Witness).
It was a major blow for Arsenal to lose Danny Welbeck to what looks like a serious injury.
The Englishman lasted just thirty minutes of the 0-0 draw with Sporting CP on Thursday evening, leaving the field on a stretcher.
It leaves Arsenal a little short up front with just Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah as the only first-team striking options.
With that in mind, reports in Italy have suggested that the Gunners may have identified a potential replacement for Welbeck.
Calciomercato has claimed the Gunners could make a move for AS Roma’s Patrik Schick, the 22-year-old striker who has made 12 appearances for the Czech Republic.
Arsenal have been linked with Patrik Shick in the past and the injury to Danny Welbeck must have fuelled these rumours. Shick seems like a decent prospect but hasn’t quite progressed in the last few years as many had expected him to.
