Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina has reportedly found the “trust he was lacking” since joining Napoli on loan (via Sport Witness).
After Bernd Leno’s performance against Qarabag FK on Thursday night, it’s fair to say that Arsenal fans are growing in confidence over their new goalkeeper.
The German looked on fine form and it seems that things are going equally well for the man he replaced at the Emirates, David Ospina.
The Colombian is currently on loan at the Serie A side Napoli and according to Ospina’s father, he is thriving.
“David has always been good rushing out and playing with his feet. I saw yesterday that the team have realised this and his teammates trust him more and more, bringing him into play by giving him the ball,” Hernan Ospina said in an interview with Radio Marte.
“I hope that he stays at Napoli because he’s happy. He’s found a spot and the trust he was lacking at Arsenal. I’ve got to say that even in Colombia, everyone is fondly watching Napoli.”
It’s good to see David Ospina playing well in Napoli. Things never quite clicked for him at Arsenal but hopefully, the Serie A side will be impressed enough to trigger the buy clause in his loan contract at the end of the season.
