Reports in Spain suggest that FC Barcelona are keen on signing Arsenal full-back Nacho Monreal in the January transfer window (via Sport Witness).
It’s a new transfer schedule for Premier League clubs this season with the summer window shutting before the matches started.
However, things will be back to normal in January when the window reopens and clubs are allowed to sign and loan players in the new year.
It’s unclear whether Arsenal will be looking to bring anyone in during that month but it seems as if another club is keen on signing one of their players.
Reports in Spain suggest that Nacho Monreal is a January transfer target for La Liga champions, FC Barcelona.
Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde is unhappy having Jordi Alba as his sole option in the position.
The same paper claims that Gunners boss Unai Emery is keen on bringing in Atletico Madrid’s left-back, Filipe Luis in the same window.
It’s unclear how much truth is in these reports. Nacho Monreal has been an excellent player for the club for a number of years and there is little point in selling him unless he explicitly asks to leave.
