Turkish side Fenerbahce have entered the race to sign Arsenal forward Lucas Perez with interest from Newcastle United and Deportivo (via Sport Witness).
It’s proving to be quite a transfer saga for Lucas Perez as the Spanish forward looks for a new club.
After less than twelve months in North London, it’s clear that the former Deportivo man’s time at Arsenal is coming to an end.
Alexandre Lacazette has taken his number nine shirt and while he is still training with the first-team, it’s only a matter of time until Perez moves on.
Former side Deportivo la Coruna were joined by Newcastle United in their pursuit of the player and it seems that another club is interested in the 28-year-old.
Turkish side Fenerbahce have thrown their names into the ring with talks set to be held this weekend over a move for Lucas.
Mahmut Uslu and Hasan Cetinkaya, key board members in the Turkish side are reportedly set to travel to Madrid to stage talks with the player soon after coming to an agreement with the club.
It’s only a matter of time until Lucas Perez leaves Arsenal and he won’t be the only one. A number of players look set to leave the club in the coming weeks as the Gunners look to free up funds and wages for more incomings. Let’s hope Arsenal can get a good price for Perez but it’s a shame that we didn’t see the best of him at the Emirates.
